Sea Turtles Underwater

This gallery showcases photographs taken in Southeast Florida when Sea Turtles species are present. Florida’s beaches are very important as nesting habitat for mature females and the waters house a great food source for adults as well as juveniles. Five Sea Turtle species visit Florida: Loggerheads, Greens, Hawksbills, Leatherbacks, and Kemp’s Ridleys, with Leatherbacks and Kemp’s Ridleys being the most rarely seen. Southeast Florida and it’s surrounding Atlantic waters, is a very important habitat for Sea Turtles.
