The following photographs were taken during a unique kind of night dive called a Blackwater Drift Dive. Off of the coast of Palm Beach, Florida, we drift near the surface waters in the Gulf Stream over depths that can reach well beyond 600 feet. Most of the critters seen are larval stages of fish, crustaceans, and other reef dwelling creatures but even still more exciting, rare deep sea dwelling species.
